In conjunction with Culture Days this past weekend, backstage tours were offered of the Harold Shenkman Hall situated in Orleans. Thanks in part to a generous endowment by the influential Shenkman family, the state-of-the-art, 505-seat theatre opened in 2009 and has held high calibre musical & theatrical performances, award ceremonies and literary events ever since. The upcoming season is quite promising, too, with scheduled performances by Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Virsky: The National Dance Company of Ukraine, and the Barra Macneils to name a few.
