Ottawa is Canada’s capital and the country’s fourth largest city with a population of approximately 865,000 people living within the city limits. It has a natural "cityscape" in that the national Capital Region is almost 80 per cent rural! Temperatures can range from 33°C (91°F) in summer to -40°C (-40°F) in winter. Ottawa is Canada's most affordable city and has just been ranked 2nd in Canada as the most desirable city to raise a family.

An Old Classic

Today we found ourselves in Metcalfe, Ontario just 24 kilometres (15 miles) south of Ottawa, in the township of Osgoode. The town dates back to 1827, and is primarily a farming community with a few services including the psychics who apparently caused quite a stir when they opened shop on Main Street a few years ago. While waiting for our pizza to bake we decided to take a little stroll around and discovered this beauty – what appears to be a 1934 Chevy Master Sedan. Or maybe it's a 1932, John? Seems that people in the Ottawa area adore their classic cars, for the many antique car shows and cruise nights scheduled throughout the year.
