Is it Halloween yet?
In the Pink township – just before you are immersed in the colour of the Gatineau Hills – sits this old, abandoned parish. Mountain View United Church was erected in 1898 and served the community well for 80 years, till its closure in 1978. No longer welcoming to visitors, there is graffiti, "No Trespassing" signs and boarded-up windows. It really is a sad sight, and one that reminded me of a few budget Halloween flicks from my teenage years. One can only imagine what goes on there on Old Hallow's Eve!

Wonderful shot. I like the red building and its sharp contrast to the grey hovel. Well photographed.
