Escape to the Hills
You may (or may not) have noticed, but my posts have been inconsistent lately. I've done some damage to my back (too much zumba, perhaps?) and have not left the immediate area of my home for over a week. How can I maintain a blog about this beautiful city while being trapped? Trapped! Well, today, after a chiropractor's appointment, I felt good enough to escape... to the Gatineau Hills, even if it was raining. This beautiful mélange is a national treasure, located across the Ottawa River; a mere 15 minutes from the City Centre. Not to be missed, there are hundreds of kilometres of walking trails for you to enjoy. Talk about cheap colour therapy! If you're in the area, let yourself be wrapped in Mother Nature's Quilt of Many Colours – a perfect family outing this Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend.
