Chez Henri
Scheduled for an autumn 2010 opening, construction at the Chez Henri site in Hull, Quebec is a bit behind schedule. I really love it when the old architectural elements meet the new, which is exactly what is in store for the only heritage-designated building in the Hull area. Originally a high-end hotel in the days of the Great Depression, there were telephones in each of the 30 rooms and formal attire was expected to be worn in the dining room. After the hotel changed ownership a few times, it officially closed its doors in 1993. Investors are working together to rebuild Chez Henri and to elevate its reputation once more.
