Fantasia
Jeff Ferst is an American painter who settled in Cambridge, Ontario in 1978 and has lived in the vicinity ever since. This oil painting – Fantasia (Quartet) – can be found at Art Mode Gallery in downtown Ottawa, along with a few other select pieces. Influenced by the Impressionists, Klee and Kandinsky, the vibrant colours and joyful blocks of expression depicting landscapes and familiar objects (if you take the time to look closer) make Ferst's work instantly recognizable.
