Paving the Way...
Actually, when I took the shot, I snapped it so quickly that I didn't even realize this cheerful fellow had noticed the camera at all. What else was I to do while stuck in traffic?
Like many other cities around the globe, Ottawa is no exception to the rule of two seasons: winter and construction! For miles and miles and kilometers on end, traffic is disrupted, detours are confusing, and it's amazing anyone can get to their destination at all. In 2009, the City of Ottawa invested $29 million in roadway, bridge and sidewalk renewal. With there seeming to be even more construction happening this year than last, I am curious how the City's budget will fare for 2010.
