Oh, Bounty of Goodness...
Good, wholesome garlic of varying degrees of warmth tantalized the taste buds of many today. Yes, it is Garlic Festival time again! Music, Red Russian, Persian Star, German White... You know you are passionate about garlic when you are willing to try it in everything from jelly to fudge to bread to... well, you get the picture. Today, thousands of garlic connoisseurs poured into the Carp Fairgrounds to partake in the first day of Garlic Festival. Amazing, but some vendors sold out completely of their stock after just a a few short hours. Others, a more select bunch, had cloves to spare – only because parting with such huge sums of money for braids of garlic seemed obscene. We're not talking truffles here, people! Nonetheless, Garlic Festival made for a perfectly scrumptious day and is on again tomorrow if you happen to be in this neck of the woods.
