Motorcycle Mama of the Grandest Kind
Let me introduce you to Betty, the biggest hit at the 6th Annual Puppets Up Festival in Almonte, Ontario. What a maniac behind the wheel! Entirely hand-made, Betty rode through the streets enticing a smile from everyone in her path. I think it was the combination alcohol bottle-slash-knitting needles + yarn in her back basket that did it. Quite possibly it was her entire get-up.
Puppets Up, the International Puppet Festival, runs again tomorrow. It was a huge success today, with overflowing crowds. My suggestion would be to arrive early to catch the shows, because you could very well spend the entire afternoon standing in line. Or, if you prefer, you could always catch the adults-only show tomorrow evening... Maybe Betty will be there to sweep you off your feet – quite literally!
