A hop, skip and a jump from the spot where yesterday's photo was taken – in Chinatown on Somerset – was this simple scene on the outside wall of an unassuming café called Raw Sugar. With construction everywhere, and the intense heat we've been suffering, the bench offers a welcome refuge to many pedestrians in the area. I was in a bit of a hurry myself (avoiding a parking ticket as all well-intentioned photographers do on occasion) and didn't actually enter the café, but after reading this article, I wish I had! It sounds to be an inspiring, atypical spot to grab more than just your standard cup of coffee. They serve up Fair Trade, organic coffee, Vegan dishes, and even the local organic beer of choice, Beau's. Sounds to be as quirky and charming as the exterior, which, really, is all the more reason to plan a visit!
