Chinatown Gateway
As this year marks the 40th Anniversary of China-Canada relations, this magnificent gateway is being built to commemorate that friendship and the Chinese community in Ottawa. There was a groundbreaking ceremony on April 22nd, 2010 and this magnificent piece of architecture is scheduled for completion at the end of September. "When we greet the golden season of October, an architecture of distinct Chinese royal style will rise in Ottawa," said His Excellency Lan Lijun, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Canada. I am thinking that the surrounding businesses can't wait for the Golden Season to come, either.
