One year ago today I wrote my very first post on Ottawa Daily Foto (oy vey!) and featured one of these fellows on Guard outside of Rideau Hall, the Governor General's residence. This time, in honour of the occasion, I am featuring a troop in action. Each morning at 10 am the Changing of the Guard ceremony takes place in front of Parliament. Just a hint if you plan on catching the pomp and parade: it's a good idea to get there 15 minutes early for both a good spot and to hear the interpreters explain the parade in detail. This photo was taken at the end the ceremony, as they were about to head down Wellington Street.
Thank you all for visiting the blog and for your continued support – it sincerely means a lot to me. I look forward to bringing you more of all that Ottawa has to offer in the year ahead. And please, if you have any feedback, suggestions or requests (or just want to say hello) feel free to drop me a line anytime: artfulideas2009@gmail.com

A very fine shot Angela. Ottawa is my favourite Canadian city.
The first year is the hardest. :-)
Thanks Wayne for the words of encouragement.:)
My congratulations Angela!
I was in Ottawa in 2003 and I treasure it as a lovely city.
I wish you another interesting blogging year.
