Colour for Your Soul
Award-winning fibre artist Thoma Ewen recently presented "The Living Tapestry", a series of woven, fibre-art pieces in the Trinity Gallery. Initially I was drawn – like a magnet! – to the exhibit because of the exquisite butterfly on the right. Once I entered the space, it took no time to realize that there was definitely something 'other-worldly' going on with these pieces. Ironically, Ms. Ewen is the artistic director of the Moon Rain Centre in Gatineau, a non-profit cultural organization working to share the beauty and mystery of Weave, integrating peace and harmony throughout the community. Tapestry as philosophy, it all made perfect sense.....
