Nik NAC In the Rain
Tonight we – along with thousands of others of all ages – had the pleasure of listening to 16 year-old Canadian singing sensation Nikki Yanofsky. She was accompanied by the NAC Orchestra in one of four outdoor concerts being held at Lebreton Flats and hosted this weekend by the National Arts Centre and the National Capital Commission. As you can see, the weather this evening wasn't ideal, however we all stood our ground (while tapping our toes, of course!) as we listened in awe of this rising star. In case you missed seeing the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics in Whistler, she was the gal who sang "I Believe" and who can be seen & heard here.
FYI: Each year Orchestras in the Park features a variety of styles of music in hopes that there is always something for everyone to enjoy. Hopefully next year you can join us!
