St. Paul's Catholic Church
Sadly, it was exactly one year ago today that this once-thriving 140 year-old Roman Catholic church in the heart of Aylmer went up in flames. Today, the church and a statue of St. Paul himself stand as you see it here: a constant reminder of such a malicious crime. When the scene was investigated, police found an empty gas can nearby.
On the up-side, just over a week ago, a new design was unveiled – one that encompassed some of the original heritage elements while introducing a few new architectural advances. It will be some time, though, before the rebuild can commence due to significant fundraising that needs to happen first. But will keep you posted...

Arson?? That's awful! I hope the funds can be raised to rebuild it.
