Ottawa is Canada’s capital and the country’s fourth largest city with a population of approximately 865,000 people living within the city limits. It has a natural "cityscape" in that the national Capital Region is almost 80 per cent rural! Temperatures can range from 33°C (91°F) in summer to -40°C (-40°F) in winter. Ottawa is Canada's most affordable city and has just been ranked 2nd in Canada as the most desirable city to raise a family.

That Was Yesterday....

And this is Riley. Friends of our who came to celebrate Thanksgiving this past weekend brought their feisty three year-old Boxer along with, who quickly discovered just how much fun a pile of maple leaves can be. Especially when hunting for that ever-elusive ball!! Today the crispy, vibrant leaves are in a compost bag for tomorrow's weekly yard waste pick-up. We had frost again, and flurries are in the forecast for tonight. Winter is definitely coming all too quickly this year but believe me, I will hang onto autumn, tooth and nail....
