A Warm Welcome
Directly over-looking the waterfront in Almonte is a cozy little pub and outdoor eatery called The Barley Mow. Whoever designed the interior had quite the imagination – or a degree in theatre set design! Not only are you enticed by this wonderful entrance, the rustic interior includes a beer mug chandelier, much visible copper ductwork as well as half-barrel doorways to the restrooms. It's like you've stepped back in time 150 years! But then again, it is one of the more artsy towns you will find in the Mississippi Mills area, boasting a high percentage of artists, artisans and craftspeople.
