The Red Door
This image was actually meant for yesterday's Theme Day, but I fell asleep watching Cars with my 5 year-old son and missed the boat. Well, sort of. As today was Good Friday, the religious image is equally as fitting. It was taken in Rockland, East of Ottawa at the Paroisse Très-Sainte-Trinité. But a bit about Good Friday..... Rain or shine, in honour the significance of the day, each year the city of Kanata holds a Walk of the Cross, and this year marked their 25th anniversary. Children and adults alike were given the opportunity to walk in His footsteps by physically carrying the cross and reflecting on Jesus' last moments. There was another such walk on Parliament Hill, in the centre of Ottawa.

This is a gorgeous capture! I've always wanted to visit Ottowa but I've only made it as close as Montreal or Toronto.
What a great shot! Too bad you fell asleep--sounds like something that would happen to me.
