I know I sure am, so I suppose that's why I'm blogging about food today. Safer than going grocery shopping, so they say!:) If you are wondering what on earth Poutine is, let me give you a brief history. Having originated in Québec in the 1950's, Poutine is a plate of French Fries topped with brown gravy and cheese curds and occasionally other toppings like bacon bits (The Heart Attack Special). The messier the better, these fries are definitely not finger food! You can find them served in fast food restaurants across the country, but the most delicious are when they come from chip wagons like this one in downtown Ottawa.
