Definitely One Cool Cat
Seems I don't get much chance to explore these days, and so when my son had an activity in Stittsville where parents aren't allowed to watch, I took the opportunity and ran! Or drove, shall I say, to the tiny village of Ashton where I was met by this very Cool Cat. Located about 40 kilometers south-west of the city of Ottawa, Ashton is actually directly on the boundary line of the county thanks to the Jock River running right through the heart of the community. Naturally (in the truest meaning of the word) half of the hamlet is considered to be in Ottawa, and the other half is in Lanark County. Although the village itself has been relatively untouched for years, modern additions such as this sculpture that add a touch of whimsy to the timeless landscape.
