Urinetown
This evening I had the pleasure of going to Kailash Mital Theatre at Carleton University with a few friends (twice in one week, can you believe it!!??) to take in Greg Kotis' play Urinetown. Yes, you read correctly! It's a satirical comedy surrounding a vast gamut of environmental and social issues that we face daily – on the front burner: the world's water shortage; on the back burner: love, peace, consequence. Essentially the townspeople are being extorted, and have to pay a fee each and every time they need to carry out a natural bodily function. Reminded me of the summer I was in Europe, actually. As this would require the flushing of a toilet, and as the water supply is limited... well, someone always sees an opportunity to take advantage! Tomorrow is the final curtain if you are looking for something to do...

Looks like great fun and drama - you fellow "culture vulture" you!
That is one strange title, but it sounds like a very interesting — and socially relevant — play.
