If You Could Read My Mind....
sings Gordon Lightfoot, as you gaze at him from afar. This larger than life mural on Sunnyside Avenue incorporates other musical legends as well, including Joni Mitchell. Gordon Lightfoot will be performing in Ottawa on April 9th and 10th at the National Arts Center, singing unforgettable ballads like "Sundown", "Alberta Bound", "Rainy Day People" and "Did She Mention My Name". His unparalleled contribution to Canadian and contemporary folk music is widely recognized and so, earlier this month, Mr. Lightfoot was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in Toronto to honour this outstanding achievement. Lightfoot has been captivating audiences for 50 years and yes, he is alive and well, despite the contrary that was recently published online.

Great shot of a really beautifully done mural.
I love Gordon Lightfoot. He is really one of my favorites, along with Joni Mitchell.
I am sorry that I was not able to post this comment earlier, as I was on a 38 hour trip on 5 airplane flights from Tanzania to the USA -- a trip made more pleasant by listening to Gordon Lightfoot on my iPod.
You neglected to mention my favorite Gordon Lightfoot song -- "Canadian Railroad Trilogy."
I have seen him in concert in the past, but sadly was not able to make his concert date in Phoenix, Arizona a few months ago.
@Dave: No apologies necessary, don't be silly! Am glad Gord was able to soothe your extensive journey. We would be interested to see some images from Tanzania soon, though. Hopefully the airlines didn't lose/damage your luggage with all of those transfers?!
