Touch of Bohemia
A friend of mine recently bought tickets to an amazing concert in Vancouver, B.C... scheduled during the Olympics. So, she is at present without accommodation. Here's hoping that perhaps she will be able to find even a B&B something like this one – Auberge Des Arts – that is located here in Ottawa near the National Gallery. It's a quaint little place and there are some original decorating ideas (love the tile in the loo!). Plus, you definitely cannot bet the location: in the heart of Byward Market, mere blocks from the major attractions of the city including the Currency Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica, Alexandra Bridge, and Parliament, of course. You may want to inquire if you are planning an excursion this way any time soon as I'm certain they book up early.

got a lead on a yaletown condo!
Really enjoying your blog and delicious pics Angela!
That is great news!! Wouldn't want you to miss out on such an amazing show, BC!:) My next recommendation was going to be to borrow a VW van, but now you've saved everyone's boredom from that potential post!! Thanks you for stopping by!!! Now you have to post more pics yourself, very talented lady. :))
Try checking 'Home For The Games'
This is a project which pairs homeowners willing to offer a room or an entire house with visitors to Vancouver during the games.
There are scores of listings. Home For The Games was created by a group of friends wanting to see the games benefit the homeless community. 50% of the proceeds from each rental (the deposit) goes to two established charities that assist the underprivileged.
I volunteer for the project and I've been surprised at how nice and reasonably priced many of the homes are.
