Things Are Looking Up....
You can't but help have a positive outlook when in the presence of a perfect scene such as this. This steeple is an architectural highlight on the Glebe-St. James United Church. The Glebe is a very desirable neighbourhood to the south of the downtown core, and this church sits in right in the middle of the community on Lyon Street. Glebe means "land set aside to support the church" and in 1837, the Crown made one such grant of 178 acres on which many such churches were built.
The Glebe-St. James has come a long way from providing just Sunday Service, as they offer programs for children & teens, Arts Classes, Healing Touch and a Concert Series. On Sunday at 2:30 pm there will be an "Old Meets New" piano recital with Mauro Bertoli playing Sonatas and dances from the Romantic to contemporary eras. See you there?

I learned something new from you today. I used to live near Glebe Road, a major street in Arlington, Virginia, but assumed that it was some person's name. Now I know better.
A heavenly photo of the lovely church!
