These intriguing stairs can be found in the vicinity of the Chaudiére, the same area where yesterday's photo was taken. Not only did the word on each and every stair draw me in, but upon closer investigation you can actually see a metal fence and what appears to be some sort of holding cell. There isn't a history to be found about this spiral staircase, unfortunately. At least not one online. Was there a precinct nearby? Is this leading to some secret passageway? Was it a staircase manufacturer? Who really knows? I will have to research more at another time, but for now will let my imagination muster something up..!
