Well, by now you all know just how much I love texture and today is no exception! This is a detail of the door leading into the Mill of Kintail, which dates back to 1830. The Mill was transformed into a summer home in 1930 for our local Renaissance man, Robert Tait McKenzie. On the 'spooky' side of things, the Mill is rumoured to be haunted by the owner's wife. An inconclusive investigation took place by the Canadian Haunting & Paranormal Society. I suppose – depending on if you believe in ghosts or not – that is a bit of a relief, as they wouldn't want to scare all of the families and tourists away.
