The Man With Two Hats
Another gift from The Netherlands, I'd like to introduce you to The Man With Two Hats by sculptor Henk Visch which stands in Commissioner's Park. An identical twin bronze monument (standing 4.6 metres in height) can also be seen in Apeldoorn in The Netherlands. Princess Margriet must call Ottawa her second home for the amount of time she spends here! :) It was in 2002 that this sculpture was unveiled by Her Royal Highness on a similar trip to commemorate the Liberation. The twin sculptures symbolize the unique bond between our two nations and the friendship that continues to flourish.
