Four Churches
Upon entering the quaint village of Ashton, I could see no less than four churches at the same time. At the time, I thought this was a bit odd, and think so even more now after discovering there are only about 200 residents in the hamlet itself. No doubt, the many local farmers must come in on Sunday to catch up with the town gossip, and there's no better place than in these places of sanctuary. When I walked up closer to this lovely stone church, I couldn't help but notice the family name above the front door. This obvious clue (combined with the buckets and supplies at the front door!) was telling me the near 200 year-old building no longer served a religious purpose but is presently being transformed into someone's home.

Beautiful!
Wow, an old church must make for an awesome home! Maybe a little strange and eerie, but definitely interesting.
