Sphere
In front of the National Research Council in the east end of Ottawa, rests this giant stainless steel sphere that weights approximately one tonne. Designed as a commemorative piece to celebrate the NCRs 50th anniversary (in 1966) and realized by artist Art Price (1918-2008), "Sphere" is symbolic of the activities at the NRC, Canada's leading agency for research and technology. What I find most interesting is the organic quality of the sphere with the reflection of the trees juxtaposed against the cube of the head office with it's harsh, vertically rectangular windows. Indoor Science vs. the Outdoor Experience. The National Research Council was developed in 1916 to advise the government on matters of research and science, and today employs over 4,000 professional people all across Canada.

Your photo really caught my eye. The mirrored surface shows what's behind as well as allowing us to glimpse past it. Nice work!
Yes, the reflexion is amazing and characteristic for that. Very interesting.
I like it! Precisely because of the reflections. It almost looks like a (huge) water droplet.
