Ottawa Senators Skills Competition
This afternoon the Ottawa Senators NHL team – with help from a handful of talented players from the Minor Hockey Association – had a little fun with 13, 450 spectators of all ages at Scotia Bank Place. The Sens were split into two other teams, Team Red and Team Black, to participate in competitions such as Accuracy Shooting, Fastest Skater and the Puck Control Relay. This afternoon's annual event raised $100.000 (from ticket sales and a donation by Bell) for the Easter Seals of Ottawa as well as the always generous Sens Foundation. This image was taken during the singing of Canada's National Anthem "O Canada", and only afterwards, when looking back at the photos, did I realize that there was a literal sea of red.
