A Soothing Scene
This quietly calm and perfectly peaceful scene was captured Thursday morning at Andrew Haydon Park in Ottawa's west end. Shortly afterwards, flock after flock of Canada Geese landed on the Ottawa River, just behind the trees and windmill – no longer a haven of silence for the incessant honking. This particular park is adjacent to the Nepean Sailing Club and it is recommended to visit in the summer when the boats are setting sail in Britannia Bay. There's also the 'Summer Sounds' concert series in the Park's amphitheater in June, July and August. I'm sure it's a good time and a wondrous sight, but I personally prefer the beauty of a rare, perfectly still Autumn day like this one.
