"Your adventures suck!" my five-year old informed me this morning. My Great Adventure Buddy was just tired of being strapped into the back seat (and only just wanted his lunch!). I know this, being the adult, and don't take it personally. So, you can imagine my delight, when I drove down my favourite street in Carp, just west of Ottawa, and was reintroduced to this charming little Rustic Cabin that brightens any not-so-sunshiny moment. We've driven past this magical spot many times on Saturday mornings going to the Carp Farmers' Market, which is now closed for the season. The owner of this place, on those Saturday mornings, would have rustic furniture and simply painted wares strewn across the lawn out front, to lure passers-by. Her charms worked well, and it was never quiet those early mornings, much to the neighbours' chagrin (on this point I can only suppose!).

A wonderful composition! I hope your five year old appreciated it once he'd had a bite to eat.
