Quiet Time
Somedays a person just needs to take a moment (or an afternoon, even) to sit and take in life's beauty. Or remember a different time altogether. Or simply to not think at all. You can make up your own story as to what was going through this gentleman's mind as he was resting on a park bench near Remic Rapids, west of downtown Ottawa on The Parkway (shot a few weeks ago). Thousands of people in the Capital Region use the bike paths along the river for commuting to and from work in the warmer months. There are literally hundreds of kilometers of paths that are all well maintained and generally along eye-catching routes such as this. On another note, in the distance you can see le Pont Champlain which spans the Ottawa River across to Gatineau, Quebec.
